Het woord glasgenoot is onze vertaling van het Perzische woord ham-piyālah. Een oud Perzisch gezegde luidt: “Zielsverwanten worden zij, die samen het glas heffen”.
Je heft je glas niet zomaar met iemand. In de Perzische cultuur betekent het delen van een glas dat je een band aangaat die alle andere relaties overstijgt, een verbintenis van ziel tot ziel.
Wijn verbindt. Eten draagt eeuwenoude verhalen, smaken en geheimen met zich mee. In een wereld die steeds verder uit elkaar lijkt te groeien, willen wij via deze glasgenootschap mooie zielen en warme harten bijeenbrengen.
Zoals bij de oude Perzische tempels het vuur altijd moest blijven branden, zo willen ook wij het vuur van schoonheid, vriendschap en verbondenheid levend houden.
De inschrijving voor de eerste 50 Glasgenoten is nu geopend. Daarna kunt u enkel lid worden van onze Sociëteit wanneer u wordt voorgedragen door ten minste twee bestaande Glasgenoten.

You don’t just raise your glass with someone. In Persian culture, sharing a glass means that you enter into a bond that transcends all other relationships, a bond from soul to soul.
Wine connects. Food carries with it age-old stories, flavours and secrets. In a world that seems to be growing further and further apart, we want to bring together beautiful souls and warm hearts through this glass society.
Just as the fire in the old Persian temples always had to keep burning, we also want to keep the fire of beauty, friendship and solidarity alive.
Registration for the first 50 Glass Companions is now open. After that, you can only become a member of our Society if you are nominated by at least two existing Glass Companion.
The monthly contribution of € 75.00 is paid by direct debit.
